This chart of the Blue Danube has been transcribed from a version by Joe Loss, and is played at Viennese Waltz tempo. Saxes are scored for AAATT in Miller style, with 1st Alto doubling Clarinet. The arrangement is mainly ensemble writing, with good sectional interplay, and the 16 measure Piano solo is written out in full. Whilst this is primarily a strict-tempo chart for dancing, it is also a useful training chart to tighten up sectional techniques, balance, intonation and phrasing. Duration: 2:25. Grade: Medium.
