I'm Free is one of the many great tunes from The Who's rock opera "Tommy." With a nod to Mario Bauz and Tito Puente, Rick Hirsch has reimagined this classic rock anthem as a high energy mambo. The arrangement starts cooking right at the top and simply never lets up! Also featured is a great rhythm out section while percussion parts create an underlying palette as the ensemble breezes through a development section. There are optional solos for alto and baritone saxes, piano, and trumpet. There are no woodwind doubles in this creative work. Sonic, challenging and well worth the effort!
