The Glory of Love", written by Billy Hill (1899 1940), was first released with Willie Bryant and His Orchestra in 1936. Benny Goodman's version from the same year became a number one pop hit. The song has been recorded with a number of artists; The Five Keys (1951), The Platters (1956), Peggy Lee (1958), Dean Martin (1966), Otis Redding (1968), Bette Midler (1988), Paul McCartney (2012) and many others.
