Seven Nation Army was written in 2003 by Jack White for American band The White Stripes. The song was the opening track of their fourth record album Elephant. After this, the characteristic guitar riff has been synonymous with the band. The song has been used both in both political contexts and various sport events like the FIFA World Cup in 2018. It was awarded the 2004 Grammy for Best Rock Song and has also figured on several best of lists of songs from that decade.
